Player Committment – Cole DeKoninck commits to the Wings

The Weyburn Red Wings are proud to announce the commitment of 2000 Defenseman Cole DeKoninck from Lorette, MB. The 6’1” 205 lb defender had 20 goals, 38 assists for 58 points and 70 pims in 48 regular season games with the Eastman Selects Midget AAA last season.  Cole added a goal and 4 assists for 5 points in 5 playoff games as an assistant captain for the Selects.

DeKoninck was a Manitoba Midget AAA Second Team All-Star last year. He lead the Eastman Selects in scoring and will provide an instant spark for the Red Wings. Cole plays a solid two way game, he will contribute on both special teams. DeKoninck plays an assertive style that makes his presence known on the ice.
