Player Committment

The Weyburn Red Wings are proud to announce that Cole Woodliffe has committed to Northland College in Ashland, WI. The Lumberjacks play in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association, NCAA Div III.
Cole was a point per game player for the Red Wings as a 20 year old and contributed 33 goals and 57 assists for 90 points in 135 career regular season games.

Seamus Gregory, Northland College’s Head Men’s Hockey Coach/Associate Athletic Director, had this to say about the commitment of Cole to the Lumberjacks program:

“This process with Cole, his family and the Red Wing organization has been ongoing for quite some time and to receive word  that Cole has decided to attend Northland College to further his education and play for the Jacks is an addition that makes our hockey program better on many fronts, we have been searching for a player of his skill set to play a role here and we couldn’t be more excited”.

“Cole is a player who feel can play in any situation, he has a very high ceiling and will be an impact player at our level.  We have Red Wings here in our line-up now and to add another is very special – Cole is also a very serious student which will make the transition from junior very seamless”.

Congratulations Cole!
