Red Wings announce next set of signings

The Weyburn Red Wings are proud to announce the signings of the following players for the 2017/2018 season:

99 RW Cade Kowalski is a 5’11” 170lb winger from Morden Manitoba. Cade had a great season with the Pembina Valley Hawks Midget AAA last season recording 15 goals and 48 assists for 63 points in 43 regular season games as well as 4 assists in 4 playoff games. Kowalski led Manitoba Midget AAA in assists and finished 3rd overall in points per game. Cade has great skill, vision and playmaking ability. He has good hockey sense and comes from a history of being an elite offensive player.  Kowalski has been the MVP of the last two teams he has played for.

 

99 C Jessie Young is a forward from Port Coquitlam BC. He had 14 goals, 21 assists for 35 points and 40 pims in 39 games with the Vancouver NE Chiefs of the BC Major Midget AAA Hockey League. Jessie also added 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 playoff games. Jessie is a great skater with deceptive speed; he plays a solid 200 foot game and has very good offensive instincts. At 6’1” 180lbs he has a good quick release and has the skill to finish plays.
