Red Wings announce first round of signings!

The Weyburn Red Wings are proud to announce the following signings for the 2017/2018 Season.

00 D Jevon “Chevy” Schwean. Schwean played the last two seasons for the Swift Current Legionaires and made his Red Wings Debut this past season getting into 13 total games last season. Chevy is an intelligent, mobile, puck mover who has already proven he can be a good player in our league. Schwean calls Moosomin, SK home. The 5’11” 180lb blueliner was the Red Wings 2015 1st Round Pick.

00 FW Connor Pyne, a White City native, played the past two seasons with the PA Mintos, Connor is a big power forward at 6’3”, 205lbs  with good skills and good feet. Pyne has an excellent release and can score when given the chance.  Last season with the Mintos Connor had 8 goals and 13 assists in 39 regular season games. Connor was a 2015 2nd Round Pick.

99 D Garrett Szeremley is from Morden Manitoba, he is a 6’2 210 lb right shot defenseman. Garrett played the last three seasons with the Pembina Valley Hawks. Last season Garrett  had 5 goals and 26 assists, along with 82 pims in 47 total games. Garrett has a good two way game, he is intelligent and very mobile for his size. He is very strong, plays with an edge, has great reach and has a good point shot.
