Hargrave is Goaltender of the Week

Members of the Weyburn Red Wings are getting recognition for their performance this past weekend in their home-and-home series against the Yorkton Terriers.

The SaskTel Goaltender of the week is Nathan Hargrave. Picked up from the Kindersley Klippers just before the preseason, Hargrave stopped 62 of the 64 shots he faced against the Terriers, backstopping Weyburn to both wins.

Two defencemen from the Red Wings were named as runners-up for two awards. The IBAS Defenceman Of The Week runner up was Jeremy Lagler. The third year Red Wings picked up three assists in Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Terriers. The runner-up for the Rookie of the Week was Devon Becker. Becker picked up his first career SJHL goal Saturday night, while playing strong on a defensive pairing with Jayden Syrota for most of the game.
