PLUS THE WEYBURN FIRE FIGHTERS SUPPORT MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
by the Voice of the Red Wings, Steven Wilson from discoverweyburn.com
The Weyburn Red Wings will look to continue their momentum from their win Saturday night when they host the Nipawin Hawks tonight. The Hawks are paying a visit to Crescent Point Place for a rare weekday game, which starts at 7:30 p.m.
The Hawks are on a roll as of late, having won their past four games. Two of those wins came over the Melville Millionaires, though, who have had a series of struggles of their own since the trade deadline on January 10th.
The Wings have scored 10 goals in their past two games, and have also shown they can compete with the best in the league, splitting two games in the Battlefords just over a week ago. The Wings will continue to look towards the veterans on the team to contribute, as they aim to move up in the standings, and get ready for a February that will be filled with inter-divisional games.
This will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams this season, but it could also turn out to be a potential playoff match-up, as the final standings could see these two teams meet in the quarterfinals. The puck drops at Crescent Point Place at 7:30 p.m.
