The Weyburn Red Wings are facing off tonight against the two-time defending Canalta Cup champions, Melfort Mustangs.
The game will have implications in the standings as the teams jockey for playoff positions.
The Mustangs, who lost to Flin Flon 8-2 Tuesday, are currently in 6th place in the SJHL, one point ahead of the Wings who are tied with Yorkton at 43 points.
The top 10 teams in the league qualify for the playoffs, with the top six moving directly to the quarterfinals, while the teams in 7th through 10th play in a wild card round.
Game time tonight is 7:30 p.m., at Crescent Point Place. The red and white will have the rest of the weekend off for their annual sports dinner tomorrow.
