For the second night in a row, the Weyburn Red Wings rallied back from a deficit to force overtime Saturday night. This time, they ended up losing in overtime, falling 3-2 to the Melville Millionaires. With the single point from the overtime loss, the Red Wings moved past the Notre Dame Hounds, who lost to the Melfort Mustangs. The Kindersley Klippers are also tied with Notre Dame for 7th in the league, a point back of Weyburn.

Neither team was able to score in the opening period, then the Millionaires broke the deadlock early in the second period. Shane Sherban scored at the 4:35 mark of the period, and Clayton Eisler added to the lead just over two minutes later.

In the third, the Wings rallied back. It started with a goal from Jordan Kazymyra, assisted by Carson Scheschuk just 63 seconds into the period. Ty Brown would tie the game up moments later, as his 15th of the season beat Melville goalie Colby Entz.

The overtime period would be the fourth of the year between the two teams, with Melville winning all three of the previous games needing extra time. Saturday would be no different. Just 33 seconds into the extra period, Cory Schillo beat Arik Weersink, giving the Millionaires the victory.
