I had the pleasure of accompanying RBC Community Ambassador, Braden Birnie, to Assinboia Park Elementary School where he presented a cheque for $1000 to the school.
It was evident while there why Braden chose to donate the money to A.P.E.S as it certainly had an impact on him, and he on it. Staff members were singing his praise and as always, Braden was far too humble. In the short time I’ve known Braden I have been blown away by his character, he has always been so quick to volunteer and get involved in the community. Whether it was riding in the parade on the back of the Red Wings truck, or delivering coffee to employees at various businesses, Braden never hesistates to help.
Principal Dan Manning accepted the cheque on the schools behalf, and said he is looking forward to seeing more players in the school in the near future whether that be participating in outdoor physical education, or virtual story time.
