The Weyburn Red Wings were left looking for answers Tuesday night after they lost 10-1 to the Nipawin Hawks at the Centennial Arena. The loss is the third in a row for the Wings, who remain two points back of the idle Estevan Bruins for first in the Viterra Division.

The Hawks came out firing early, scoring just 1:10 into the game, as Brandan Arnold beat Arik Weersink. The Weyburn netminder was beaten twice in the opening five minutes, on just seven shots, and was pulled by Red Wings head coach Wes Rudy. Matthew Chan came on to take his place and was on the ice for the remaining eight goals from the Hawks.

Brett Harasymuk picked up a hat trick, scoring twice in the second period, and adding another in the third. He also notched two helpers for five points on the night.

The lone goal for the Red Wings came from Jessie Young, who potted a rebound past Declan Hobbs early in the second period.

The Wings will have a short turn around, as they are back on the road to take on the Flin Flon Bombers Wednesday night. You can listen live to the game on Red Wing Radio, K106, starting with the pregame show at 7:20 p.m.
