Game Day Preview – WRW vs EST

After a rough weekend that saw the Weyburn Red Wings suffer two losses, they will be looking to bounce back when they travel down Highway 39 Wednesday night to face the Estevan Bruins. It could be a tall task, as the Bruins are boasting one of the more potent offenses in the league so far, and their power play will be hungry to capitalize on mistakes.

The last time the two teams met was Friday, here in Weyburn, was a 6-1 win for the Bruins. The Red Wings took a number of penalties, including a stretch in the third when they were shorthanded for nine-and-a-half minutes straight, and the Bruins power play took advantage, going 4-for-13 on the night. Weyburn doubled their penalty minutes total for the season, going from the least penalized team in the league, to second most penalized.
