The Weyburn Red Wings of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League are currently seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, personable individual for a full time position as Operations & Marketing Manager.
Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Create and implement marketing strategy
– Knowledge of Quick Books and Financial reporting
– Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors
– Oversee season ticket sales
– Plan and coordinate community events and player appearances
– Oversee game day operations
– Manage team website and social media
– Promote and advertise the team through all possible avenues
– Write press releases regarding player transactions and commitments
– Represent the Weyburn Red Wings in a professional manner in the community
– Organize and plan team events such as parent weekend, awards banquet, and other fundraisers
– Deal with client, customer, and fan concerns
– Ability to work weekends and evenings
Qualifications:
– Sales experience and excellent interpersonal abilities
– Organizational, time management, and administrative skills
– Ability to work independently and meet deadline requirements
– Hockey knowledge an asset
– Business and marketing education an asset but not a requirement
The Marketing Manager will report to the General Manager and Team President. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
