The 2026 SJHL Draft has concluded with the Red Wings making a total of 9 picks in the draft. The coaching and scouting staff are excited for the future:
“We are very excited that we were able to get a large number of southern Saskatchewan kids in the draft today that have attended our camps, and we also had high on our draft board. We believe that having as many local kids as we can is very important, and having kids that have shown interest in our program over the last couple years is also very important for us.” – Head Scout Joel Moriarty

2011 Born Draft
Round 1 Pick 8 – Kolbie McColl
Kolbie McColl played for the Estevan Bruins U15 AA in the SAAHL U15. The 2011 defenceman played 26 games with the Bruins putting up 15 points. (3G 12A). He stands at 6’2″ and has the potential to be a starting defenceman in the SJHL. He was also drafted by the Prince George Cougars in the 8th round of the 2026 WHL Draft. McColl is from Redvers, SK and we can’t wait to see what his future has with the Red Wings as he continues to purse the WHL!

Round 2 Pick 18 – Jax Baumuller
Jax Baumuller played for the Notre Dame Hounds U15 Prep in the CSSHL U15. The 2011 forward played 25 games with the Hounds totalling 36 points. (23G, 13A). He was a true force, with almost a goal per game season. He had his chance to play with the Notre Dame Hounds U18 AAA playing in 1 game, and scoring 1 goal. He was also drafted by the Moose Jaw Warriors in the 7th round of the 2026 WHL Draft. Baumuller is from Wilcox, SK and we are excited to see what he brings to the Red Wings as he continues to purse the WHL!

Round 2 Pick 20 – Kohen Morrow
Kohen Morrow played for the Regina Pat Blues U15 AA in the SAAHL U15. The 2011 goalie played 15 games with the Pat Blues putting up a .903 SV% and a 3.24 GAA, with 1 shutout. He had a strong outing in the playoffs with a .935 SV% in 5 games. He has also signed with the Tisdale Trojans U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL. Morrow is from Regina, SK and we are excited to see him between the pipes on the Red Wings!

2010 Born Draft
Round 1 Pick 8 – Nolan Jeworski
Nolan Jeworski played for the Regina Vics U18 AA in the SAAHL U18. The 2010 defenceman played 36 games with the Vics totalling 18 points (7G, 11A). He is someone we hope can make an impact on the blue line in the future. He has also signed with the Estevan Bears U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL. Jeworski is from Regina, SK and we are excited to see him on the Red Wings in the future!

Round 2 Pick 14 – Leyton LaBreche
Leyton LaBreche played for Prairie Storm U18 AA in the SAAHL U18. The 2010 forward played in 34 games with Prairie Storm putting up 55 points (31G, 24A). He had the opportunity to play 4 games with the Yorkton Maulers U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL, and had 1 goal. He has also signed with the Estevan Bears U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL. Hilbig is from White City, Sk and we can’t wait to see what is in store for his future with the Red Wings!

Round 2 Pick 18 – Owen Tribier
Owen Tribier played for the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AA In the SAAHL U18. The 2010 forward played in 36 games with the Warriors totalling 55 points (23G, 32A). Tribier had a strong outing in the playoffs putting up 12 points (4G, 8A) in 8 games, with a trip to the league finals. He had the opportunity to play 3 games with the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL. He has also signed with the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AAA for next season. Tribier is from Moose Jaw, Sk and we can’t wait to see what is in store for his future with the Red Wings!

Round 3 Pick 32 – Levi Lillejord
Levi Lillejord played for the Notre Dame Hounds U17 Prep In the CSSHL U17. The 2010 forward played in 30 games with the Hounds totalling 12 points (3G, 9A). Lillejord had a boost in the playoffs putting up 3 goals in 8 games, tying his season total. He had the opportunity to play 3 games with the Notre Dame Hounds U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL scoring 1 goal. He has also signed with the Notre Dame Hounds U18 AAA for next season. Lillejord is from Ceylon, Sk and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Red Wings!

Round 4 Pick 44 – Ryker Doka
Ryker Doka played for the Regina Pat Canadians U18 AAA In the SMAAAHL. The 2010 defenceman played in 42 games with the Canadians totalling over a point per game as a defenceman with 68 points (19G, 49A). Doka also had a point per game in the playoffs with 11 points (3G, 8A) in 11 games. He had the opportunity to play 1 game with the Spokane Cheifs in the WHL at just 16 years old. He was selected by the Spokane Chiefs in 2nd round of the 2025 WHL Draft. Doka is from Regina, Sk and we hope to see him in a Red Wings jersey as he pursues the WHL!

Round 5 Pick 56 – Kanyn Junior
Kanyn Junior played for the Regina Vics U18 AA In the SAAHL U18. The 2010 forward played in 32 games with the Vics totalling 32 points (15G, 17A). Junior also had an over point per game in the playoffs with 9 points (3G, 6A) in 8 games. Junior is a multi sport athlete also playing baseball for the U18 AAA Regina Athletics, and represented Canada at the Little League World Series. Junior is from Regina, Sk and we hope to see him succeed with the Red Wings!
